Lanka Freediving is a Molchanovs-certified freediving school in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka, running Discover, Wave 1, and Wave 2 courses in groups of four, November through April.

How much does a Molchanovs freediving course cost in Sri Lanka?
Discover is €150 (half day), Wave 1 is €350 (3 days), and Wave 2 is €450 (4 days) at Lanka Freediving in Unawatuna — gear, boat, and Molchanovs certification fees included on Wave courses.

What is included in a freediving course price?
All gear, pool and open-water sessions, boat when we need it, online theory for Wave courses, and underwater photos on Wave courses.

Not included in a standard course: hotel, meals, airport transfer. Those sit in the retreat package.
What deposit do I pay to book a course?
30% deposit to hold a course date (50% for retreat and expeditions). Balance on day one. More than 14 days before start: deposit refunded. Inside 14 days: we transfer you to another date in the same season. Weather cancellations are rescheduled or refunded — we do not run unsafe sessions to keep a booking.
How much should I budget for a week in Unawatuna?
A Wave 1 week is course plus 4–5 nights, food, and a Galle afternoon — not a €2,000 resort week unless you choose that hotel. Guesthouses start cheap on the beach road; boutique rooms cost more on the headland. Tuk-tuks are short money. Food is inexpensive if you eat local.
Is Molchanovs cheaper than PADI in Unawatuna?

Which course should a first-timer book?
