Lanka Freediving is a Molchanovs-certified freediving school in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka, running Discover, Wave 1, and Wave 2 courses in groups of four, November through April.
How we teach
Presence over depth
Less chasing numbers. More the quiet before you descend.
Maximum 4 students
Every breath and every question gets time. Not a conveyor belt.
Safety first
Molchanovs standards, competition safety training, conservative progression.
Unawatuna
Warm water. Clear mornings.
Southern Sri Lanka. Water 27–30°C in season. Visibility often over 15 m on calm mornings. Reef, sand, and blue water a short boat ride out. Turtles are ordinary. We run November to April, then we close.

Julian is a Molchanovs instructor, Evolution Spearfishing instructor and competition safety diver. He has trained in Lake Zurich, Zanzibar, Egypt's Blue Hole and the Pacific off Costa Rica, where he co-founded Evolution Spearfishing. In Unawatuna, he teaches small groups with patient coaching and conservative progression — depth is earned, never forced. We teach the Molchanovs freediving education system.
